As a Grand Auditorium guitar, the Cole Clark Angel 1 is highly versatile and equally suited to both strumming and finger picking style performance.
The Cole Clark Angel 1 features a solid Bunya top which is a sustainable timber that delivers a broad range of tones.
As a solid top, it not only sounds great on day one but it will sound better with time as it becomes more resonant with age.
Queensland Maple is used for the back and sides and enhances the crisp, high end of your tone while increasing your volume.
Attached to the body is a Queensland Maple neck that is topped with a She Oak fretboard which provides a great combination the tonal traits you'd find in Rosewood and Ebony fretboards.
Cole Clark 3-Way Pickup System
Giving you great amplified sound, the Cole Clark Angel 1 is equipped with a Cole Clark 3-way pickup system.
With individual piezo elements under the saddle, the pickup gets great capture of the lower end frequencies of your sound.
Of course, when it comes to creating sound, the most important part of the guitar is the top. Because of this, the Cole Clark 3-way pickup system features a "face sensor", perfectly capturing how the top resonates and is great for picking up the mid range.
Lastly, there's a condenser microphone which beautifully captures the high end frequencies of your tone.
With this three-pronged approach, the pickup system maintains all the character of the Cole Clark Angel 1's tone.
Built into the side of the Cole Clark Angel 1 is the preamp which has several features to ensure you get the best possible sound.
A 3-band EQ gives you individual control over the treble, mid and bass in your sound.
A dedicated knob allows you to boost or cut the gain of the condenser microphone.
There's also a knob for controlling the blend of sound captured between the Bridge and Face sensors.
Lastly, there's a volume knob for you to set the overall output level.
Other Great Features
GraphTech TUSQ is used for the nut and saddle on the Cole Clark Angel 1, with this modern material being made under high pressure and temperature giving you fantastic consistency and improved sustain.
Up on the headstock, you'll find six Grover tuning machines providing precise and secure tuning of your strings.
As an added bonus, the Cole Clark Angel 1 comes to you in a heavy duty gig bag so it's ready to hit the road when you are while being protected in style.
A separate pickguard is also included so you can choose whether or not to have it installed on the Cole Clark Angel 1.
