AMERICAN-MADE ACCESSORIES - ALL TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS

With a heritage dating as far back as the late 1800s, the D'Addario brand found its roots in Italy, a humble family-run business producing rope and string. Following the guitar and stringed instrument boom of the mid-1900s, Pre World War 2, the D'Addario family began utilising the latest string materials for this market. Over 2 centuries later, D'Addario's strings have adorned some of the most iconic stages and guitars in the world. With famous endorsees including Brent Hinds, Nile Rodgers, Lenny Kravitz and Tosin Abasi, it's a testament to their heritage, durability and performance.

As well as Guitar Strings, D'Addario also design and develop some of the industry's most innovative Capos, Straps, Cables and Tuners from their headquarters just outside of New York. Everything you need to get the most from your instrument!

FAQs

  • How to pronounce D'addario?

D'addario is pronounced 'duh·daa·ree·ow'. Try making the hard 'Duh' sound and then stretching out the 'Daa' sound a little, before ending with 'Rio'.
  • How to use D'addario tuner?

To use a D'addario clip-on tuner first attach it to your guitar and ensure it is switched on. From here the frequency of the notes you play should appear on the screen, and you can alter the tuning until the open notes match the tuning you're aiming for.
  • Which D'addario strings are best?

Opinions on the best D'addario strings will vary from player to player, but the most popular range is the XL Nickel Wound. They use nickel plated steel over a carefully drawn, hexagonally shaped, high carbon steel core.
  • How long do D'addario strings last?

D'addario strings are designed to last, but you should still change your guitar strings every 4-6 weeks on average. It ultimately depends on how often you practice - experienced players should be able to tell when it's time for a change.
