new fender pedals amps and guitars

We love a new product announcement here at PMT especially from the team at Fender! This new announcement ahead of summer NAMM 2019 includes a range of new Fender Pedals. The announcement includes some amazing Tone Master amplifiers and a range of new Squier Starcaster guitars, too. There's also as a host of new colours from the Classic Vibe series.

Let’s take a look at some of the new products, all available for pre-order now.

New Fender Effects Pedals

The range of new Fender effects pedals add to the already incredible offering from the brand. These boutique pedals include a range of new 'combo' options that couple some of the most popular pedals and features into a convenient pedal board friendly package.

Fender The Trapper – Fuzz Pedal

Fender The Trapper dual fuzz

The new Fender The Trapper fuzz pedal expands the offering from Fender’s boutique pedal range and builds on the success of The Pelt fuzz released last year. This is a switchable fuzz pedal with two distinct voicings: “Calm” and “Possessed”. The Calm side features the Fuzz, Level and Octave up toggle controls whilst the Possessed side includes a severe noise gate utilising a Level knob. This Possessed side is also more reliant on your guitar’s volume and tone controls so you can make adjustments without having to bend down and change the pedal.

Fender Compugilist – Compressor / Distortion

Fender Compugilist

The new Fender Compugilist pedal combines some of the key features from The Pugilist and The Bends pedals, whilst maintaining individually switchable compression and distortion effects for ease of use. This is the best of both worlds with an added bass boost toggle switch. If you want reliable, controllable distortion, this is great.

Fender Smolder – Acoustic Overdrive pedal

Fender Smolder

The Fender Smolder is an all analogue overdrive pedal designed for acoustic players who want to be able to tame those harsh, high-end frequencies that can sometimes occur when using piezo acoustic pickups.

This is a really interesting pedal as it utilises a cabinet simulation and Pickup Compensation control that makes use of a low-pass and high-pass filter. You also have a 3 band EQ specifically voiced for acoustic guitars. If you want a powerful sound from your acoustic guitar, this is a great option.

Fender MTG:LA – High Gain Tube Distortion

Fender MTG LA

The new Fender MTG:LA pedal is the brands take on Bruce Egnater’s MTG pedal, aimed at those who love that classic 80’s metal sound. This pedal features a huge amount of gain but goes easy on the mid-range so you can get those massive hair metal riffs going. The footswitchable Boost can also be brought in to add extra saturation.

Fender Pour Over – Bass Envelope Filter

Fender Pour Over

Fender have made sure Bass players feel loved with the addition of the Fender Pour Over – Bass Envelope Filter pedal. This features an SSI-2164 Quad VCA bandpass / lowpass filter as well as a soft distortion toggle switch so you can really dig in to your tone.

You have separate distortion controls such as Gain, Tone and level. You also have Filter controls and a dual colour jewel light that changes colour as the filter sweeps across the frequency.

Fender Reflecting Pool – Delay / Reverb

Fender Reflecting Pool

The Fender Reflecting Pool is the perfect pedal if you want a combo of world class reverb and delay pedals but you’ve got limited room on your board. This Delay / Reverb pedal features individually switchable delay and reverb effects as well as a tap tempo switch. You also have the ability to reverse the path, utilise tails and even expand your functionality with an expression/footswitch input.

Fender have also included a USB input so you can enjoy firmware updates and utilise all the best sounds when Fender release them. The true stereo In/Out and high quality buffer makes it a great option for pro guitarists too!
