To celebrate the success of the illustrious TV show, creators David Benioff and DB Weiss have collaborated with the Fender Custom Shop in the design and construction of the Sigil Collection: an inspirational range of Game of Thrones Fender Custom Shop guitars.
Each of the three Fender Game Of Thrones models is adorned with iconography associated with one of the three main houses from the hit show (Targaryan, Lannister, and Stark), and is packed full of hand-made Fender Custom Shop hardware and electronics.
Choose Your House, And Choose Wisely
So, without further ado, let’s take a closer look and the stunning-looking Fender Game of Thrones guitars.
Fender Game of Thrones House Targaryan Stratocaster (RRP £32,349)
No Fender Custom shop collection would be complete without a Stratocaster, and for the Sigil Collection there’s no Westerosi house better suited to the guitar than House Targaryan. This unique take on one of the most iconic instruments ever made comes complete with a “dragon scale” design to the front and back, along with a satin “Dragonglass Black” painted finish.
For the pickups, Fender opted to use a set of hand-wound Texas Special single coils, as their fiery high-output tone is a perfect match for the draconic nature of House Targaryan. Additionally, there’s a “Medium C”-shaped maple neck, topped with an ebony fingerboard, and adorned with an elegant House Targaryan dragon sigil at the first fret.
As a finishing touch, the pickguard – a work of art in itself – is made from hand-tooled, stained leather, and has been etched with the infamous 3-headed dragon sigil of House Targaryan. The guitar also comes complete with a custom “reptilian embossed” hardshell case, a matching leather strap, and a Certificate of Authenticity.
Fender Game of Thrones House Lannister Jaguar (RRP £27,699)
True to the Lannister name, this beautiful guitar is as opulent and gold-laden as you’d expect. Featuring 24 karat gold leaf adoring the body and headstock, as well as gold-plated hardware and pickguard, the looks alone contribute to some of the most intricate work ever to grace a Jaguar.
For the electronics, this Game of Thrones Fender Jaguar comes equipped with a pair of hand-wound Fat ‘50s single-coil Strat pickups, delivering that rich, refined tone that the Fender Custom Shop is renowned for. In addition to this, there’s a sleek “Medium C”-shaped maple neck, with an Ebony fingerboard, and an elegant brass House Lannister Lion sigil at the first fret.
To keep the guitar safe, it also comes complete with a unique hardshell case, with crushed velvet lining and gold tolex covering, as well as a matching leather strap and certificate of authenticity.
Fender Game of Thrones House Stark Telecaster (RRP £23,099)
Weathered, rugged, and no-nonsense, the Sigil Collection Game of Thrones House Stark Telecaster is the perfect match for the rulers of The North. With its lightweight Ash body featuring a “Grey Wolf” finish to the top and back, and “Raven Black” on the sides, this guitar is stark in nature as well as in name.
For that traditional Telecaster tone to be as biting as the north winds, Fender have opted to fit a set of hand-wound 50/51 Blackguard single coil pickups that can cut through the mix as easily as a Valyrian Steel blade.
Attached to the body is a sleek and smooth, “Medium C”-shaped maple neck, capped with an Ebony fingerboard, and adorned with a hand-cut, sterling silver Direwolf sigil at the first fret. In addition to this, there’s a nickel silver control plate and hand-engraved control knobs etched with the House Stark sigil.
As a finishing touch, the nickel silver pickguard is embossed with a Direwolf sigil, representing House Stark in all of their ferocious glory. This guitar comes complete with a leather and faux wolf fur-lined hardshell case, along with a matching leather strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
Do you pay the Gold price… or the Iron Price?
Whilst we may not be getting these incredible Fender Game of Thrones guitars in stock, if you contact our Sales Team directly, we can place a special order with Fender for you.
And unfortunately, we don’t accept offers of Trial by Combat in exchange for goods here at PMT, so it’ll have to be the Gold Price.
