The Seventh Wave: Festival of Electronic Music


The West Midlands Synth Network presents an all-day free event designed for electronic music lovers and creators.

The annual Seventh Wave Festival is happening for its second consecutive year running, and you can expect big synth manufacturer names and DJs, bands and artists to be there hosting talks, demonstrations and live performances all day. And of course, PMT Birmingham will be there bringing analogue retail goodness to the event!

Other exciting things happening this year include:

  • First 100 people through the door will receive goodie bags
  • Charity raffle on behalf of Drake Music
  • Midlands Modular Meet room, manufacturer rooms, live performance spaces, video room, and a café
  • Rooms curated by Disco Gecko Recordings (Toby Marks) & Sounds for a Small Space (Alexander Caminada), Leon Trimble and Martyn Greenwood
  • Talks/demonstrations by Infection Music, Korg and more
  • Live performances by Toby Marks/Banco de Gaia, Phonsonic, Andrew Heath, Animat, dr trippy, John Biddulph appearing as HandMadeSound, Minus_es, Mittwoch, Oxynucid, Return Code Zero, Ten:Ten, Time Attendant, Axxent Opaque, Concept Devices, SkinMechanix, Leamington Spa Home Electronic Music Society and more

  • Date & Time: Saturday 16th March, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Venue: The Birmingham and Midland Institute, 9 Margaret St, Birmingham, B3 3BS.
