Novation decide to spoil us with their new Circuit Mono Station - a next generation sequenced monosynth with a paraphonic analogue synthesiser and three sequencer tracks.
Novation certainly know how to get gear geeks like us excited. Not only have they announced the brand-new Peak today, but they’ve gone and launched the awesome Circuit Mono Station paraphonic analogue synthesiser today too. Let’s take a closer look at the next-generation sequenced monosynth and see what the Novation Circuit Mono Station is all about.
So what exactly is the Circuit Mono Station?
In short, the Circuit Mono Station is a next generation sequenced monosynth that originates from the Bass Station II. This intuitive paraphonic analogue synth includes three sequencer tracks that can be triggered via the 32 velocity-sensitive RGB pads that make the original Circuit so much fun to use.
In addition, the Circuit Mono Station is packed with two oscillators as well as three awesome distortion modes to really add a new dimension to your playing. Producers will also enjoy the fact they have one multi-mode filter to manipulate, allowing you to select high-pass, low-pass or band-pass.
Control Your Sync & Tuning Parameters and Alter Waveshapes
The team at Novation have ensured you have a great deal of control over your sound when using the Circuit Mono Station. Not only can you individually control the sync and tuning parameters of the two oscillators, but you can also manipulate the 4 waveshapes (sawtooth, triangle, square and sample + hold). There’s an on-board sub-oscillator, ring modulation effect and noise generation. If that’s not enough, the Circuit Mono Station features a powerful overdrive, allowing you to push your sound harder than ever before.
You can even change up the frequency band you need simply by applying high-pass, low-pass and band-pass filters with slopes of 12dB and 24dB.
More Patches, More Control & Manipulation Of External Devices
The Circuit Mono Station allows users to save up to 64 patches on the device and load them up again in an instant.
If you have an array of hardware, the Circuit Mono Station can control and manipulate those devices via CV, gate and modulation outputs. In addition, you have MIDI In, Out and Thru, so you can control other MIDI devices and even pass audio signals through the input and add analogue filtration and distortion from the Mono Station. When using the audio input with the mod sequencer, you can modulate, evolve and process external devices in completely new ways, opening up a new world of musicality.
There’s also USB connectivity so you can plug your Circuit Mono Station into your MAC or PC and manage unlimited patches via Components.
