Fantastic Clean Tones
The Blackstar HT-5RH gives you two channels with four distinct voices between them for some great sonic versatility.
With the Clean channel selected, you have American and British style voices on offer.
Using the “American” voice gets you a clean, bright and refined tone with satisfyingly solid bass response.
Hop over to the “British” voice with a stomp of the included two-button footswitch and you’ll get highly responsive chime with looser bottom end. You can even drive this voice hard to enjoy some nicely crispy mid-range overdrive.
Awesome Overdrive
The Overdrive channel also gives you two footswitchable voices but these are high in gain and ready to rock.
Select “Classic” voice gives to get classic British Blackstar overdrive that is rich and naturally. This can be played with Super Crunch but it also cleans up for some nice tones.
Switch over to the “High Gain” voice to get a sound inspired by critically acclaimed HT Venue MkII’s overdrive. This voice is big on high-end aggression and boasts tight, resonant low-end.
Great New Features
In addition to the footswitchable voices, the Blackstar HT-5RH MkII amp head has a number of other great new features.
If you need to take the volume down but don’t want to sacrifice your tone, just push in the power reduction switch to go down to 0.5 watts! Perfect for practicing at home.
On the rear of the amp, you’ll find USB audio and XLR D.I. outputs give you some fantastic recording flexibility while a newly voiced studio quality reverb adds that extra polish to your sound.
The amp has also seen a visual overhaul and now boasts a refined, boutique design and stage-friendly chickenhead control knobs.
Other great features include a three-band EQ section with an addition patented ISF control so you can really shape your sound.
The line out/headphone socket and D.I. output feature emulated output so you can get great cabinet tone without using a cab!
In addition, there’s an mp3/line in so you can play your favourite songs through the amp or play along with backing tracks and an effects loop so you can get your sound just how you want it.
