With the TRBX604FM-TBL you get yourself a stunning 4-string electric bass, with a supremely comfortable neck and body shape, sporting a Translucent Black finish. Featuring two YGD designed H5 pickups, an audiophile-grade active/passive circuit and 3-band EQ, and Yamaha's thinnest bass neck to date (just 38mm wide at the nut!) you'd be pushed to find a more versatile and finely-crafted bass within the same price bracket.
High-Quality Pickups
H5 pickups (as designed by YGD) are renowned for their clean, open tone that works perfectly with the flexibility of the TRBX604's active/passive preamp design. Featuring a quad-polepiece design, and alnico magnet construction, these powerful pickups drive the active circuit with ease, whilst still managing to retain the sensitivity and subtlety required to pick up each and ever nuance of your playing in passive mode.
3-Band EQ
In addition to the Active/Passive switchable nature of the on-board EQ, the TRBX604 also grants you total tonal control via the Treble, Mid, and Bass Boost/Cut controls (when in Passive mode the Treble control reverts to being a master passive Tone control). Constructed using high-quality gold-plated parts on key signal chain contacts, the circuitry within the TRBX604 operates with an increased amount of conductivity and reliability than other preamps, and there's even a battery alert LED installed on the back panel, which indicates when the battery is running low on power.
3D Sculpted Construction
Yamaha have designed the TRBX604 to offer the optimum balance between tone and comfort. Its 3D sculpted body sits comfortably against you when you play, ensuring a supremely comfortable playing experience, and is coupled with a fast, ultra-comfortable profiled neck that is constructed to offer both outstanding stability and excellent tone.
