Get To Grips with DJing
Straight away, you'll notice the Traktor Kontrol S3 boasts two large precision jog wheels. 14cm (5.5") in diamater, these jog wheels give you easy, hands-on control.
With illuminated jog wheel rings, you get fantastic visual feedback including deck selection, making your performance even easier and more streamlined.
You also have 16 RGB pads allowing you to instantly trigger Hotcues, loops and samples to add a little more creativity and dynamics to your sound.
Get Your Sound Just Right
Built into the NI Traktor Kontrol S3 boasting accurate modelling of industry-standard mixer EQs so you can shape and fine tune your sound.
Mixer FX gives you instant one-knob FX and filter control with your choice of eight effects and three filter types which you can assign independently to each channel.
Ins and Outs of The Traktor Kontrol S3
A number of connectivity options allow you to connect to your external gear with the Traktor Kontrol S3 acting as a 44.1/48kHz, 24-bit audio interface.
A microphone input is present in the form of a combo XLR/1/4" jack connection along with an RCA aux input which is perfect for connecting media players and the like.
You also have XLR and RCA main outputs along with two 1/4" TRS booth outputs.
So you can monitor your sound with your choice of headphones, there are both the more common 1/8" and professional device 1/4" headphone outputs.
Traktor Pro 3 Software Included
Included with your Traktor Kontrol S3 is the full version of Traktor Pro 3; the most stable and best sounding version of this software ever released.
Upon registering your new hardware you'll receive Traktor Pro 3 as a download.
Using Traktor Pro 3 you can mix across four decks while enjoying the tightest, most reliable looping and beatjump features in the industry.
You can also scratc, re-edit tracks mid-mix and sample with Remix decks all within the software.
Furthermore, you will appreciate the enhanced audio quality with mixer bypass mode and the great potential given to you by Elastique 3.3 time-stretching.
The browser section has also been improved for this third iteration and you now have access to dedicated harmonic mixing features.
With an interface that is optimised for the club, this software is the perfect partner for the Traktor Kontrol S3.
But that's not all! The Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S3 also integrates with the free Traktor DJ 2 app which allows for easy 2-channel DJing on your desktop computer and iPad.
