Premium-Grade Construction
As mentioned above, the construction of this guitar was inspired by Morello's very own Designer Series Strat that he used during his time with Audioslave.
For the body we have the traditional Stratocaster shape, but carved from a single piece of Alder - or, as it's often known, it's a "slab" body. This particular body construction may result in a slightly heavier instrument, but offers a truly solid feel with increased sustain.
In addition to this, the bolt-on Maple need has been given a Deep "C" profile shape, along with a compound radius Rosewood fingerboard, which offers comfortable and easy-access across the whole fingerboard.
Versatile Electronics
Whether it's from his time with hard-rocking super-group Audioslave, or with rap metal gods Rage Against the Machine, Tom Morello is renowned the world over for his instantly-recognisable guitar tone.
With that in mind, Fender worked closely with Tom to pick the perfect pickups for this signature series guitar, in the shape of two Vintrage Noiseless Strat single coils, and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails humbucker.
These pickups and their selector - along with the kill-switch - combine with to help you achieve sounds ranging from gentle rhythms, to sreaming feedback, chaotic stutters, and much more besides!
