Crafting the Redondo Special
To ensure the best possible tone, all-solid wood construction has been used to make the Fender-exclusive body of the Redondo Special.
For the Redondo Special’s top, Fender have opted for solid Sitka Spruce due to its incredible flexibility and responsiveness making it suitable for all playing styles.
For the back and sides, Mahogany has been used adding a certain richness while the sides are painted and the back is left natural for just a subtle hint of visual flair
You’ll also find a cutaway in the body of the Redondo Special which offers easy reach of the higher frets – perfect for guitar solos and other adventurous styles of play.
The large body size of the Redondo Special gives it a rich, room-filling voice with optimised bracing ensuring a secure build while reducing mass and enhancing tone resonance.
A Mahogany neck is attached and features slim-taper C-shaped profile, which along with its satin finish and a Pau Ferro fretboard, makes for a comfortable, easy-to-play experience.
Specially Voiced Electronics and Quality Hardware
Co-designed by Fender and Fishman, the electronics on board the Redondo Special have been specially voiced for the Redondo body shape – this allows you to plug in and play live while retaining the great natural tone of the guitar.
You’ll also find that finding your perfect tone is easy with treble, bass and volume all individually adjustable.
For added convenience, the Fender Redondo Special even has a built-in tuner so you can tune your guitar whenever you want, without having to take along a separate tuner.
A modern Viking style bridge offers great transfer of string vibration to the resonating solid Sitka Spruce top of the Redondo for improved tone.
It also holds a compensated bone saddle which provides excellent intonation and works together with a matching bone nut to provide enhanced sustain.

If you and your item aren’t getting along, you have 14 days from when you receive the goods to contact our PMT experts either by phone or email to return your item.

- Special/Custom Orders - Any order that is custom or has been personalised.
