Excellent Guitar Crafting
As a Dreadnought guitar, the Cole Clark Fat Lady 2 boasts a powerful performance with a broad range of tones and is great for for solo acts or as part of a band.
The Cole Clark Fat Lady 2 also features a beautifully curved cutaway to the body, providing easy access to the upper frets which is great for solos.
For the top of the Fat Lady 2, Cole Clark has used solid Bunya which is a sustainable timber that delivers a broad range of tones.
As a solid top, it not only sounds great on day one but it will sound better with time as it becomes more resonant with age.
Australian Blackwood is used for the back and sides and similar tonal traits to Koa, providing a clear, balanced tone.
Attached to the body is a Queensland Maple neck that is topped with a She Oak fretboard providing tonal traits that place it somewhere between Rosewood and Ebony.
Cole Clark 3-Way Pickup System
Giving you great amplified sound, the Cole Clark Fat Lady 2 is equipped with a Cole Clark 3-way pickup system.
With individual piezo elements under the saddle, the pickup gets great capture of the lower end frequencies of your sound.
Of course, when it comes to creating sound, the most important part of the guitar is the top. Because of this, the Cole Clark 3-way pickup system features a "face sensor", perfectly capturing how the top resonates and is great for picking up the mid range.
Lastly, there's a condenser microphone which beautifully captures the high end frequencies of the Fat Lady 2's voice.
With this three-pronged approach, the pickup system maintains all the character of the Cole Clark Fat Lady 2's tone.
Built into the side of the Cole Clark Fat Lady 2 is the preamp which has several features to ensure you get the best possible sound.
A 3-band EQ gives you individual control over the treble, mid and bass in your sound.
A dedicated knob allows you to boost or cut the gain of the condenser microphone.
There's also a knob for controlling the blend of sound captured between the Bridge and Face sensors.
Lastly, there's a volume knob for you to set the overall output level.
Other Great Features
GraphTech TUSQ is used for the nut and saddle on the Cole Clark Fat Lady 2, with this modern material being made under high pressure and temperature giving you fantastic consistency and improved sustain.
Up on the headstock, you'll find Grover machine heads which are well known for their precise and secure tuning.
Giving you the perfect protection for your new Cole Clark guitar, the Fat Lady 2 comes to you in a tweed Cole Clark Hardcase; perfect on the road or for storing at home.
