Extensive Research for Amazing Audio

After extensive research into legendary microphone preamp circuitry, Antelope Audio approached developing the Discrete 8 audio interface.

With its console-grade, fully discrete preamps, the Discrete 8 offers truly world-class sound.

Using the Antelope Audio FPGA engine you can further transform these already stellar sounding Accousonic preamps with models of a huge range of classic units – all in real-time.

Includes All of Antelope Audio’s Premier Real-Time FPGA FX

Thanks to Antelope Audio’s FPGA FX, the Discrete gives you authentic modelled sounds of legendary equipment from BAE, Lang, Gyraf Audio and many more.

The Antelope Audio Discrete 8 comes with Accusonic 3D microphone and preamp models, guitar amps, guitar cabs, transformer and tube effects along with a huge range of classic vintage gear.

All of which will be accessible in any DAW using the AFX2DAW Plugin available separately.

The Antelope AFX platform is an ever-expanding hardware modelling engine and now delivers a full professional studio experience.

From Microphones, Preamps and Conversion to Compressors, EQs and Reverb – you can use them all within the Discrete 8 EasyPanel or in your favourite DAW if you opt to purchase the upcoming AFX2DAW plugin.

Perform and record with the effects or apply them in post-production, all in real-time.

With the Discrete 8’s ReAmp outputs you’ll also be able to use any outboard gear and route the sound back into your DAW.

Proprietary Clocking and Jitter Management Technologies

Antelope Audio have come a long way from their Aardvark Audio days but one thing remains the same – their superior clocking expertise.

In fact, the Discrete 8 has been designed to work as a fully-fledged professional clocking solution.

Boasting Antelope Audio’s 4th Generation 64-bit Acoustically Focused (AFC) technology from acclaimed clock units such as Trinity, OCX HD, LiveClock and Pure2, the Discrete 8 is seriously impressive.

It also features a World Clock (WC) Input that can de-jitter and distribute an external clock signals while three WC outputs allow you to distribute clock to separate digital equipment and mic preamps in your setup via ADAT and S/PDIF.

Manage Multiple Mixes

You can easily set up monitoring and Talkback sections with the Discrete 8. A maximum of four separate monitoring mixes can be sent to headphones or monitor outputs, with or without FPGA effects.

This means you can send mixes that have been customised to each performer in the studio.

Vintage EQ, Compression and guitar amps can also be applied to the mix to the performer knows what the finished sound will be like.

Take Your Studio to The Next Level

Excellent results with professional studio level gear and amazing modelling technology, all in your home studio.
