The Alvarez MF60OM is an orchestra model or folk style guitar. With a similar shape to a dreadnought but with a smaller size, the Alvarez MF60OM is very comfortable to play.
You'll also find this shallower and more compact body produces a more mid-range focused tone which make it an ideal guitar for fingerpicking and folk music.
Solid AA Sitka Spruce has been used for the top of the Alvarez MF60OM. Probably the most popular tonewood in acoustic guitar building, Spruce offers incredible versatility due to its wide frequency range and great resonance.
Plus, with it being a solid top, you get superior sound from the Alvarez MF60OM that will only improve with age.
For the back and sides, the Alvarez Master Works MF60OM features solid African Mahogany. This great looking wood adds its own visual flair while imbuing your tone with a uniquely rich and bright character.
The one piece Mahogany neck features a 50/50 semi-gloss finish for smooth and comfortable playability.
High Quality Hardware
Up on the headstock, flanking the gorgeous Paua Abalone and Mother of Pearl logo is a set of nickel open gear tuners.
These tuners provide precise and secure tuning of your strings along with vintage style aesthetics.
Providing increased sustain and beautifully natural tonal character, the nut and saddle are both made from real bone.
Offering great transfer of string energy to the resonating solid top is a Pau Ferro bridge
It features a stepped, "bi-level" design which gives you improved string break angle across the saddle for better tone and increased volume.
Ebony bridge pins are also in use further increasing volume while improving energy transfer for better tone. They look nice too!
