The body of the Alvarez MDA66SHB has been made entirely from solid African Mahogany.
This wood offers high volume with incredibly strong tones with warm, focused projection. Strong mids and sparkling treble ensures beautiful tone that carries and boasts incredible articulation.
Being all solid wood, the Alvarez MDA66 offers superior tone that will improve with age.
The dark Shadowburst finish is complemented by Acacia binding while in contrast, premium Paua Abalone purfling and a distinctive shimmer.

Highly Playable Neck
Attached to the body is a one-piece Mahogany neck which features a 50/50 semi-gloss finish for quick and comfortable playability.
Atop the neck is a Pau Ferro fretboard with a single Paua Abalone and Mother of Pearl inlay at the 12th fret adding an extra touch of luxury.
The nut is made from real bone, providing enhanced sustain and bright organic tone while the headstock plate is made from Rosewood, adding to this collection of premium woods.
No Expense Spared
Within the body of the Alvarez A66, you'll find the FST2M bracing system.
This system features forward shifted, scalloped X style bracing with its positioning and scalloped nature allowing the soundboard more freedom of movement.
As a result, you get higher volume and more resonant tone for incredible performance.
The bridge is made from Pau Ferro and, along with its genuine bone saddle, offers great transfer of energy from your strings to the resonating solid African Mahogany top.
Furthermore, the bridge boasts a bi-level design which improves the string break angle over the saddle for improved volume and tone.
The tone production and vibration transfer is further enhanced by the Ebony bridge pins.
Up on the headstock, there are six premium die cast gold tuning machines providing incredibly precise and secure tuning.
The tuner buttons are made from Ebony adding to the fantastic aesthetic of this guitar while providing comfortable use.
