The Alvarez Blues51W/TSB has a parlour style body inspired by the designs popular with blues musicians in the early 20th century.
With its smaller size and comfortable shape, the Alvarez Blues51W is easy to hold and produces nice mid and high end frequencies.
Back shifted scalloped X bracing further enhances those tones, making this guitar perfect for raw sounding blues licks.
Great Tone
Solid A+ Sitka Spruce has been used for the top, giving the Alvarez Blues51W/TSB even more resonant and beautiful tone. What's more, the solid nature of the top mean the guitar's tone will only improve with age; the more you play it, the better it gets.
Sitka Spruce is probably the most popular tone wood used in acoustic guitar building because of its broad tonal range and versatility.
Walnut has been used for the back and sides adding further punch to the mid-range while also being visually please thanks to its unique, dark colouring.
Attached to the body is a traditional, V-shaped Mahogany neck with an easy playing Pau Ferro fretboard ordained with Abalone and Mother of Pearl inlays.
High Quality Hardware
On the body of the Alvarez Artist Blues series Blues51W/TSB is a Pau Ferro bridge topped with a real bone saddle providing excellent transfer of string vibration to the solid Sitka Spruce top.
Matching the saddle is a genuine bone nut which gives you increased sustain while reducing string binding and adding a bright, organic quality to your tone.
Up on the headstock, you'll find premium open gear chrome tuners. These tuning machines provide precise and secure tuning of your strings along with vintage-style good looks.
