Excellent Tonewood Choices
For this guitar, Alvarez have opted for a pairing of Solid Sitka Spruce with a Mahogany back and sides. Spruce's bright, vibrant voice is coloured with a rich array of harmonic overtones from the Mahogany, resulting in a well-balanced and well-projected voice.
Due to the FST2 Forward Shifted Bracing pattern, the Solid Sitka Spruce Top is able to resonate more freely than it would with a rear shifted pattern, allowing for a more dynamic projection of the guitar's voice. This is perfect for those times when amplification isn't an option, yet you still want to reach your audience in the best possible way.

Designed and built to get the very best out of its components, the Alvarez AF30 is the ultimate performing guitar, whether that performance is in the studio or live on stage.
