All-Mahogany Construction
As mentioned above, the Alvarez AD66SHB is crafted with an all-Mahogany body - with the back and sides made from laminated Mahogany, and the top made from a piece of Solid African Mahogany.
This kind of construction, along with the forward-shifted X-bracing situated under the top, results in a naturally warm tone, rich in mids, but with the kind of projection needed for live performances.
