The Zildjian 14" Project 391 Limited Edition Hi-Hats features a specifically crafted B15 alloy made to create a consistent, cutting sound.
Limited Edition Cutting Hi-Hats
Zildjian produced the Project 391 range as a limited edition series. It consisted of the first publicly available Zildjian B15 alloy cymbals crafted to offer a new sound, different to that of their other ranges. Made from 85% copper and 15% tin and featuring a 2-step lathing process, Zildjian achieved a set of cymbals with a new frequency range.
These 14" hi-hats offer a smooth, warm chick sound, with great stick articulation, and a nice open wash. These hats are super responsive with a fast attack. They have a good spread across high and low frequencies with a crisp, cutting top end. Featuring a medium thin top hat and a medium bottom, these hi-hats have a very controlled sound meaning you can really lay into these hats without worry that they will become overpowering. These hats would slot seamlessly into a variety of musical styles thanks to their wide frequency spread.
A really good, all round set of hi-hats for lots of situations. If you're looking for something a little different to the norm, this limited edition project 391 Crash is definitely worth your consideration.
