Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Overview

If you're new to the concept of 'Silent' guitars, then the Yamaha SLG200S is the perfect place to start! Arguably the most travel-friendly and unique guitar on the market, the SLG200s is a steel-strung electro acoustic that plays beautifully as a standalone instrument, but even better when plugged into an amp or PA.

Super-lightweight, compact construction with collapsible body and SRT electronic pre-amp

The neck shape and 634mm scale length of the SLG200S continue the design legacy of conventional acoustic guitars, while its ultra-slim body is perfect for players of both acoustic and electric instruments. The curvature and playability remain the same as a traditional acoustic, but the SLG200S is the perfect guitar for quiet practice at home or in headphones.

SRT Powered is a new system designed to recreate the body resonance of an acoustic guitar in a bodiless guitar. Because the SLG can virtually reproduce the sound of a guitar recorded with a microphone, players are free from complicated procedures involved in mic-ing up a guitar when recording at home or in other settings. Simply plug-in, and you've got studio-quality sound, instantly. The detachable top section of SLG’s frame means that practicality and portability are way beyond that of a conventional guitar. The luxury gigbag provided can be carried with ease and fits into an aircraft overhead compartment with room to spare.

This guitar also features a gloss black frame, made with Rosewood and maple for authentic acoustic appeal. Additional appointments include a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, built-in reverb and chorus effects, earphones and batteries included.
