The Yamaha MGP12X is a versatile PA mixer building on the success of their original MG Series mixers, but with added modern functionality and a design overhaul that makes it more accessible to sound engineers to get superb results.
4 microphone inputs utilise studio-grade Discrete Class A “D-PRE” Mic Preamps with an Inverted Darlington Circuit that carries superb signal integrity with a characteristic warmth for lead vocals. Integrated one-knob compression and High-Pass Filters allow you to tweak and tailor each mic input, depending on the microphone and timbre, with ease. 4-band parametric EQ also offers added sound shaping control based on Yamaha’s famed VCM Technology. Advanced REV-X and Classic SPX effects processors offer two effects to be used simultaneously on each channel that provide a range of reverbs, delays, chorus and modulation effects to bring your set to life.
Officially, the "P" in MGP stands for "Premium" - but it could also be "Portable", or "Perfect" for purposes from live bands and DJs to fixed PA installation. A Type-A USB input in the top right of the desk offers added support and connectivity to your iPhone/iPod to record or play music back through the desk. A great way to record your set or play background music during a long night of gigging.
