The FG820L continues Yamaha's rich heritage of crafting excellent acoustic guitars at affordable prices. The new model has an upgraded scalloped bracing for improved low end tone and projection. Playability has also been improved with the thin profile Nato neck.

Since then, the FG acoustic has become the world’s best selling acoustic guitar. Of course, things have changed during this time – from music tastes to playing styles. The FG Series always kept up while staying true to its nature.
A solid top board, a 0.25mm thin finish for great tone and superior wood protection, a super-comfortable thin neck profile and a thin back and sides construction ensure maximum volume and resonance with long-term stability.
