New scalloped bracing on the Yamaha FG820-12 provides more volume, low end projection and a bigger acoustic tone. A Solid Spruce top with a Mahogany back and sides and Nato neck combine to make the FG820-12 a premium acoustic guitar that is built to last a lifetime.
New for 2016 the Yamaha FG820 12 string acoustic guitar has improved tone and feel to the player.
Yamaha created the now legendary FG Series of acoustic guitars in 1966 with the goal to offer great quality instruments at prices regular people could afford. Since then, the FG acoustic has become the world’s best selling acoustic guitar. Of course, things have changed during this time – from music tastes to playing styles. The FG Series always kept up while staying true to its nature.
A solid top board, a 0.25mm thin finish for great tone and superior wood protection, a super-comfortable thin neck profile and a thin back and sides construction ensure maximum volume and resonance with long-term stability.
