Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Overview

To celebrate 50 years of Yamaha Guitars the FG180, the very first acoustic guitar has been upgraded for 2016. Combining the classic headstock and body shape that debuted in 1966 with the latest Yamaha technology this acoustic guitar is limited to only 250 pieces.

Yamaha's very first acoustic guitar reimagined for it's 50th Anniversary.

Classic headstock and dreadnought body shape have been complimented with modern appointments such as and ARE-treated Solid Sitka Spruce top, new scalloped FG bracing, Solid Mahogany Back and Sides as well as Open Gear Tuners. Red product label and truss rod cover with the 50th anniversary logo provide added authenticity.

Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.) is a revolutionary wood reforming technology. Within a short period of time, new wood matured with this technology produces a tonal richness like that of well-used vintage instruments. A.R.E technology uses specialized equipment that precisely controls temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure to transform new wood to have the rich tone of instruments that have been played for many years. Furthermore, as no chemicals are used in the treatment process, A.R.E. technology has low environmental impact.
