Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Overview

For 2011, the APX and CPX ranges get a full overhaul with new electronics and updated cosmetics while remaining true to the original design brief – an acoustic guitar that's born to be on-stage. Launched in 1987, Yamaha’s APX range was designed to be the ultimate performance electro-acoustic guitar – combining great on-stage tone thanks to a unique body design and the latest pickup and preamp technology with incredible on-stage comfort.

  • Spruce Top
  • Nato Back, Sides and Neck
  • Rosewood Bridge and Fingerboard
  • 95-115m Body Depth
  • 43mm Nut Width
  • 624mm String Length
  • Die Cast Chrome Tuners
  • System 65 Tuners

CPX 2011 Upgraded Features

Joined later by the bigger bodied CPX series, designed to give a fuller, louder unplugged tone and a different look and voice, the combined ranges have defined the benchmark for electro-acoustic for over 20 years.

With an exclusive Medium-jumbo body, CPX guitars boast powerful, rich bass combined with smooth, delicate highs and sweet mid-range for an open, modern voice. Non-scalloped X-type bracing ensures a powerful yet controlled tone that allows the guitar to deliver strong, rich acoustic sounds while still remaining clear and usable on-stage.
