Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Different types of tape new BASF, old Ampex, etc, are also selected and used according to the unique sounds they produce. The Open Deck provides models of four machine types: Swiss '70, Swiss '78, Swiss '85, and America '70. You can even combine different record and playback decks for a wider range of variation. You also have a choice of "old" and "new" tape types, tape speed, bias, and EQ settings that can vary the "focus" of the sound, distortion, and saturation characteristics. Now you can easily take advantage of top-end sound-shaping techniques in real time using Yamaha digital consoles.
