Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Overview

Compressor pedals read the loudest and quietest aspects of a guitars signal and can be used to level off the two, giving a rounded and more consistent sound. The TC Electronic Forcefield Compressor does this beautifully and is sure to become a pedalboard favorite among any new players to try it out.

Put The Finishing Touches On Your Guitar Tone

Enhance your picking sound to the max or smooth out those guitar solos, the TC Electronic Forcefield compressor pedal does it all. The pedal is incredible simple to use and only features 3 controls which we will cover now.

Sustain

The sustain control determines how much of the signal is compressed, with low being a fairly subtle but workable effect and high being a more prominent compression, giving notes and guitar solos almost ever lasting sustain.

Attack

Attack determines how fast the compression effect kicks it. On a low setting the signal is squashed fast to give a very country sounding vibe. Set it high and the compressor works more organically with the player, assisting in leveling out notes and making your playing simply sound better.

Level

When compressing a signal, volume loss is usually the number 1 side effect. The level control is there to balance out the sustain control so you can find a sweet spot between the two. Alternatively you can use this pedal to boost guitar signals and all sorts, it just depends on how creative you are with it.
