Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Overview

With all the wacky and wonderful body designs on the market today, it is refreshing to see brands like Taylor bring the Acoustic back to it's 'roots' with the classic Dreadnought body shape. Bluegrass pickers and strummers who want a strong low end and throaty midrange will appreciate the natural rich undertones enhanced by the rosewood body and spruce top of the 810e. With a wider body bout than other Auditorium and Concert models, this powerhouse dreadnought will allow you to find a 'vintage' midrange voice and sits higher in the players' lap for an immersive playing experience.

With this revamped version of their classic 800 series dreadnought, Taylor have perfected the internal bracing of the body on the 810e Dreadnought, so it now offers a much richer, authoritative low end response which will sit perfectly as a standalone instrument or as part of a band mix. Taylor have also employed an ultra-thin, 3.5mm UV-cured polyurethane finish to protect the body and offer enough movement on the wood for improved volume and projection.

Premium appointments include maple binding and back strip, rosewood top edge trim, rosewood pickguard, mother-of-pearl Element fretboard inlay, and smoky ebony fretboard. Onboard electronics are supplied thanks to Taylor's proprietary EST pickup system, which offers a clean, direct signal straight to your amp or mixer which doesn't distort or colour the natural tones offered by the 810e.

Finding your perfect fit at your local PMT Store is easier than ever, with the sheer number of acoustic guitars on the market it can be a confusing experience for anyone looking to upgrade their first instrument or invest in a once-in-a-lifetime guitar thats right for them. We have dedicated in-store acoustic experts to help you along the way, with Taylor demonstration areas, so you can feel, hear and play each guitar before you make a decision.
