Legacy-series acoustic no longer in production, grab yours while you can! Taylor’s biggest body style, the Grand Orchestra, blends a deep, complex voice with impressive tonal uniformity from top to bottom. Burly lows are balanced by a rich treble response, and unlike most other big-bodied guitars, the GO is responsive to a light touch. On the rosewood/spruce 718e, rosewood’s broad tonal spectrum helps deliver all the power and detail a player could ask for, from meaty open chords to lush fingerstyle arrangements.
A warm Vintage Sunburst top and neck, creamy grained ivoroid binding, and the grained ivoroid Heritage Diamonds fretboard inlay bring beautiful refinement to an old-school look. Taylor’s proprietary Expression System 2 acoustic electronics harness all that acoustic richness to produce a superb amplified sound.
Grand Orchestra shape
Taylor’s biggest body shape redefines the playing experience of a big acoustic guitar by blending power and complexity with balance and responsiveness. Unlike other large-bodied guitars, the GO not only welcomes strong strumming, but also responds readily to players with a lighter touch.
Sitka Spruce top
The most commonly used wood for guitar tops, Sitka generates a broad dynamic range and accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking.
Indian Rosewood body
Indian rosewood’s sweeping frequency range at both ends of the tonal spectrum has made it one of the most popular and musically rich tonewoods. Its deep lows can assert a throaty growl, while bright, sparkling treble notes ring out with bell-like, high-fidelity clarity.
Expression System 2
Taylor’s breakthrough acoustic pickup marks a major advance in piezo technology thanks to a patented behind-the-saddle design. The unique placement of three piezo sensors captures a more dynamic range of acoustic sound and responds well in a variety of settings.
There’s a lot to be said for the clean, traditional look of a non-cutaway acoustic guitar. If you don’t plan to play in the upper register, which is made more accessible with a cutaway, or if you simply prefer the symmetrical hourglass contours of a guitar, a non-cutaway model is a great option.
