Overview

The 416ce employs the slightly bigger Grand Symphony body shape into a well-rounded, powerful electro acoustic perfectly suited for the more aggressive strummer or solo singer-songwriter. Naturally, the larger and rounded body shape delivers a rich, dynamic mid-range voice, but can be picked with a lighter touch for a more focused, shimmering treble.

The slightly more exotic Ovangkol wood used on the 416ce further adds to the bass response and natural warmth, offering a slightly fuller midrange than rosewood and a bright treble response resembling Koa. Taylor's attention to detail and focus on aesthetics also shines through with Ovangkol, showing off a hearty natural wood grain that really looks the part thanks to a full-gloss finish. For anyone tired of the same old tonewoods, the 400 Series might be the one to really push the boundaries in terms of tone, playability and visual presence on stage.

Understated appointments, including white binding and progressive pearloid dots, dial down the flash in favour of a clean, modern look that fits any musical setting. The 416CE also comes with a branded hardshell case.

The 400 series really represents Taylor's commitment to providing versatile acoustics for the live player that translates into a trusty studio recording instrument. The stylish and elegant venetian cutaway adds to the flair and visual aesthetics, and offers more access to the upper fret ranges as a practical player's choice. Thanks to Taylor's ES2 electronic system, plugging in directly to an amp, mixer or PA is straightforward and the innovative under-body sensors translate the awesome natural tone into your live sound.
