Revoiced, re-strung and re-issued for 2016, the Taylor 312ce is now available with a 12-fret option, offering a whole new level of playability, comfort and feel for their popular 300 series Grand Concert model.
The 312ce 12-Fret’s slightly condensed 24-7/8-inch scale length makes the fretting experience more accessible, but doesn't compromise on a full, balanced dynamic response and big-bodied tone. Taylor's classic Spruce top offers a rigid yet lightweight top wood for impressive projection, paired nicely with a solid Sapele body which delivers a well-balanced tone, with focused mid-range and plenty of top end detail. Both strummers and fingerpicking guitarists will appreciate the versatility of these tonewoods, whilst the smaller Grand Concert body shape makes this an ideal choice for travelling guitarists or for smaller players who want that extra comfort.
Additional appointments satin back and sides with a gloss top, black binding, Italian acrylic small diamond fretboard inlays, a 3-ring rosette, and a sophisticated venetian cutaway for easy upper fret access.
A Taylor ES2 electronic pickup system sits at the heart of the 312CE, a patented behind-the-saddle pickup design, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before. Built-in tuner and easy-access tone controls keep you in control of your sound in the studio or on stage.
