The Sabian XSR 20" Ride Cymbal uses ideas from the award-winning Evolution and X-Plosion cymbals to deliver an unprecedented sound and performance for a very affordable price. The 20" XSR Ride Cymbal is designed from B20 bronze with a medium weight which provides a loud, focused and bright ride sound with a long sustain, cutting through your mix. The Sabian XSR 20" Ride Cymbal features a redesigned bell that provides a clean sound and clear stick definition.
XSR Sound and Performance
Sabians XSR cymbals are designed with care and precision, crafted from pure Sabian B20 bronze using many of the processes they used to for their Evolution and X-Plosion cymbals and then given a pin point lather and hammered to a professional standard. The trickle-down technology helps to enhance the cymbals profile as well as redesigning and reshaping the bell to accelerate the overall tone of the cymbals, this gives the 20" XSR Ride a medium sized bell for playing solid groves with, a tasty balance of stick and definition that has a tonal wash to ensure a clean musical tone no matter the volume.
Bronze construction
The XSR Cymbal series features B20 bronze construction. This type of bronze is mainly made up of copper and tin and has a reputation for being difficult to work with. However, the expert craftsmanship at Sabian continually produce cymbals that provide versatile style to suit genres ranging from blues to rock. The in-house manufacturing allows Sabian to create a specific, unique design and to help drummers find their ideal sound.
