We were looking to purchase an electronic drum kit for our son. We visited PMT back in September to have a look at the range of items they had. While there an assistant came to offer help and advice on the different sets that were available. My son was also allowed to try them out too. After choosing one he liked we went away to research as it was intended for a Christmas present. On looking the item up it showed that for the same money you could get extra items. We then returned and asked if they would price match as we believe in trying to support the local business, but ultimately things do come down to price and value. To our delight they were happy to price match, and as a result we even upgraded. The service from viewing to purchasing was really good, as these musical instruments are not cheap and you need good honest advice when purchasing. Would totally recommend this company.

Overview

A Modern Workhorse

The PRS S2 looks to offer players a guitar that can handle almost any style played on it. Built in the USA, this guitar features a solid mahogany body and neck, dual ‘PRS Number 7’ pickups, push pull knobs for coil-tapping and a PRS’s designed tremolo ‘saddle’ bridge.

For the guitarist looking to cover himself for every gig, PRS introduce the new S2 Standard.

True Versatility Made Affordable

When it comes to tone, build and electrical layout, the S2 also shines by offering the best of both worlds. Again no compromises here! This guitars DNA is made up of the best features of some of the most popular existing single coil and humbucking guitars in the world. The scale length is 25" putting it slap bang in the middle of LP and Strat-style guitars. The inclusion of push-pull coil tapping knobs allows for a host of single coil and humbucking sounds. Unlike the PRS SE models, all of the S2's are fully American built.

In terms of design, the PRS S2's shape is based upon the flagship PRS Custom 24 models. It features a double cutaway design making upper fret access a breeze and a slightly larger single-ply pickguard to the one found on a PRS Mira. We have a tremolo bridge present here too, with PRS's own saddle design to ensure intonation and set-up is as easy as can be. To top off this stunning retro-styled guitar is a beautiful, vintage mahogany satin finish. Be sure to also check out the PRS S2 Starla and the PRS S2 Vela
