We were looking to purchase an electronic drum kit for our son. We visited PMT back in September to have a look at the range of items they had. While there an assistant came to offer help and advice on the different sets that were available. My son was also allowed to try them out too. After choosing one he liked we went away to research as it was intended for a Christmas present. On looking the item up it showed that for the same money you could get extra items. We then returned and asked if they would price match as we believe in trying to support the local business, but ultimately things do come down to price and value. To our delight they were happy to price match, and as a result we even upgraded. The service from viewing to purchasing was really good, as these musical instruments are not cheap and you need good honest advice when purchasing. Would totally recommend this company.

Overview

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of PRS and the Custom 24. This limited run of guitars come with a commemorative truss rod cover and a unique inlay pattern. The general specifications have remained unchanged since its inception aside from new 85/15 treble and bass pickups.

Personally designed by Paul Reed Smith in conjunction with the new 58/15 pickups for PRS’s 30th Anniversary year, 85/15’s are uncovered pickups with remarkable clarity and extended high and low end perfect for more modern applications. This blend of tradition and innovation mirrors the culture that PRS developed over the last three decades.

The Custom 24 is the original PRS. When this guitar was introduced in 1985, the combination of a 24-fret, 25” scale length, dual humbucking, tremolo guitar was a distinctive configuration, offering players a new tonal option. Pairing this with a more traditional combination of maple top, mahogany back, and rosewood fretboard helped give the Custom 24 its signature look, feel, and tone. For three decades, the Custom 24 has been a perennial favorite of musicians, defining the playability and tone that PRS guitars are known for.

The secret to getting the perfect tone is find the right guitar. We've got a huge selection of PRS at PMT. Find out how to find the right one to suit your budget and style.
