SUB Ray4 basses are the cousins of the Music Man StingRay 4 - classic, iconic instruments that defined a generation of bass players since the late 70 s.
Active electronics, low noise hum bucking pickups, rock solid hardware and a simple, uncluttered look that is instantly recognizable and respected.
Top Notch Construction
Originally, the StingRay was designed to offer a combination of comfort and reliability, and the Sterling by Music Man SUB Ray4 continues that tradition.
Featuring a dual-cutaway body carved from Basswood, you can access each and every note on this instrument's neck with ease, whether you're seated or standing.
In addition to this, the hard Maple neck has been securely bolted onto the body using a 6-bolt join, ensuring the kind of stability that modern, gigging bass players love.
Active Electronics
As mentioned above, the Sterling by Music Man SUB Ray 4 comes equipped with active elecronics and a 2-band EQ, which helps to add plenty of distinction and "oompf" to your playing.
In addition to this, the Sterling SUB Ray 4 comes equipped with a Ceramic magnet bridge-position humbucker.
This pickup is designed to deliver that vintage, thumping-yet-articulate StingRay sound that helped define a generation of music hits.
