Martin's GPCRSGT Grand Performance, 14-fret cutaway model features a Sitka Spruce top, Sapele back and sides and Fishman Sonitone electronics. This guitar is one of the first Grand Performance body sizes in the Road Series.

Exquisite Tonewoods

The top wood on the Martin GPCRSGT Electro-Acoustic is solid Sitka Spruce. Extremely versatile and working well for a broad range of playing styles, Sitka Spruce has a broad dynamic range and delivers crisp articulation.

Being a solid top, the already clear, rich and dynamic response of the Sitka Spruce will improve as the guitar ages.

For the back and sides, the GPCRSGT, Martin have used Sapele adding beautifully rich hues to the body of the guitar. Not only that, but tonally Sapele is close to Mahogany, with crisp strong fundamentals, and a little extra treble zing.

Professional Grade Electronics

The Sonitone system provides an under saddle pickup which delivers great reproduction of the nuances in your playing.

The onboard preamp itself can be found, discreetly mounted inside the soundhole. The preamp's Tone control allows you to adjust the amount of treble in your sound while a second control allows adjustment of the volume.

Furthermore, the battery compartment for the Fishman Sonitone is found at the bottom of the guitar when you insert your jack cable.

This provides two great benefits to the Martin GPCRSGT. First, it balances out the weight of the guitar for a more balanced and comfortable playing feel.

Secondly, it means there are less holes in the body so you get better resonance and tone from the GPCRSGT.
