A Tubescreamer And Boost Pedal In One!

Many TS808 users the world over have, for a number of years, been utilising two of the pedals on their board, with the second one having the Overdrive and Tone dialled down and the Volume increased, giving a clean-sounding Boost effect.

Now, thanks to the inclusion of a Boost circuit in the TS808DX, you can get this same effect from a single stompbox!

A Pedalboard Must-Have

For more than three decades the Ibanez Tubescreamer has been the must-have overdrive pedal for countless players the world over.

Renowned for their creamy, organic overdrive sound, the modern legend that is the Ibanez TS808 has helped to shape the sound of the electric guitar since its introduction in the late 1970s.

Classic Overdrive Design

Created with the same JRC4558D chip as the original TS808, this pedal produces that same soft, subtle clipping sound we've all come to know and love.

In addition to this, the TS808DX features a second bypass switch that will allow activate the built-in Boost circuit, adding up to 20db of extra headroom.

Both switches - for the Overdrive and Boost circuits - incorporate True Bypass circuitry, and can either be used in conjunction, or separately.

In other words: you can add the Boost for a few extra db whilst playing through the Overdrive circuit, or use it on its own for a little extra lift whilst you play cleanly.

Extra Switches

As if the thought of a Tubescreamer with in-built Boost wasn't exciting enough, the TS808DX comes equipped with two extra switches.

First off there's a toggle switch that gives you the option of placing the Boost circuit Pre or Post the overdrive section.

In addition to this, the rear panel sports a switch that allows you to operate the pedal with 9-volts or 18-volts, giving you the option of even more headroom.
