Getting gear from PMT... what’s that about?

With our 15 music superstores across the UK, we guarantee you’ll find something that takes your fancy at PMT.

OK, so how do I place an order online?

It’s easy! Find the product you want using our handy search bar or by browsing through products and click ‘Add to basket’. At any time you can see what’s in the basket by clicking on the little basket icon.

When you’ve finished browsing, click on the checkout button and enter your delivery details.

Do I have to have an account to order?

Don’t worry, you can check in as a guest on www.pmtonline.co.uk.

How do I create an account?

It is really easy to create an account. Simply click My Account, and if like us you always forget your login details, you can log in using your Facebook, Twitter or Google+ info too! You can also change the details on your account in this section too, including your password.

How will my order get to me?

Can you match a price?

At PMT, we always make sure we have the best gear, plus the best prices to go with them but sometimes our price mice get a little bit overexcited and miss the odd thing…so if you do see the same guitar or drum head or audio interface or anything on our website for that matter, at a lower price from another retailer let us know and we’ll try our best to beat them to it with a matching or even better price – online or in PMT stores!

Please note that Terms & Conditions apply to Price Match: Must be a UK-based seller with the item in stock, and is not available in conjunction with any finance or other offers.

PMT Discount Codes

Have you found a discount code to use at PMT Online or in-store? Chances are, if you have found the discount code online from an external website (aka, not on pmtonline.co.uk), it will not be valid to use on PMT Online or in a PMT Store.

Professional Music Technology only accepts discount codes and vouchers that have been created by PMT, unless stated otherwise in the discount/ voucher's Terms and Conditions.

Is the Stock Available?

In Stock – this item is available in stock now for Next Day and Weekend Delivery (Saturday & Sunday).
On the rare occasion that the product is the last one in stock, it is probably on display in one of our stores. We’ll always call or email you first to let you know if you want to proceed with your order, or we’ll order you a brand new one direct from the supplier.

Temporarily Out of Stock – this means the item you’re looking at is not in our warehouse or in any PMT Stores at present, but hope is not lost! We can usually order the item directly from suppliers. Give us a call or email to check with our PMT experts.

Pre-order – this is a HOT product and we’re telling you about it early because we know you’ll want it! You can place an order to reserve your product now and as soon as it lands with us we’ll ship it straight to you on our next day service. However, generally these products are new in and in high demand, so if you need an exact delivery date, email or call us on 0151 448 2089.

How do I know that PMT Online has received my order?

You’ll get an email confirmation sent to you, confirming your billing address and item(s) bought. Plus we’ll give you an order number too. So if you ever want to check on your order, you can log in online (if you’ve created an account) or give our PMT experts a call or email and quote your order number and we can tell you where it’s up to!

On the day of your order’s dispatch, you will receive a tracking order from our couriers DPD, so you can watch your gear make its way to you like a hawk.

Why has my order been declined?

Because our gear is so ridiculously awesome, we have to do a small security check on all orders. This is to protect you and us from fraud. 9 times out of 10 this will pass by without a hitch, but if your order is declined we’ll give you a quick call to make sure everything is A-OK before we try and put the transaction through again. If you’ve tried to purchase an item on finance and you have been declined, you’ll be contacted by the finance company.

Can I place my order by phone?

Yes, you can! We have everyone from studio engineers to professional guitarists on the phone, so get the kettle on and give our PMT experts a call on 0151 448 2089.

Can I pre-order something in a PMT Store?

Damn right you can! Just grab someone wearing a PMT shirt and let them know what you want to pre-order and they’ll sort everything out for you.

Is Part Exchange or Trade In Available?

Yep. If you want to trade in your old gear and get something new, pop into your nearest PMT Store to get an estimate for your pre-loved equipment. If we like the look of your gear, we’ll offer you a price! Part exchange can only be offered in store - never over the phone, through email, via social media or online - as the pricing for your gear will be down to the discretion of the store manager. The manager will price your pre-used items based on condition, age, availability and re-sale value.

Can You Fix My Guitar?

In some PMT shops, yes we can! In PMT Birmingham, Manchester, Cambridge, Southend, Portsmouth and Leeds there is a dedicated Luthier that can repair your guitar. Costs will vary depending on what service you are after, what guitar you bring in, and how much damage you’ve done!

If your local PMT Store can’t repair your heartstrings, they will recommend to you a nearby guitar workshop that will get your axe spruced up and rocking again in no time.

All stores have at least one guitar expert who can restring and set up your guitar – give your local PMT a call before you pop in to check someone is available and to confirm prices.

VAT & Retail Export Scheme

At PMT Online, and in PMT stores all advertised prices are inclusive of VAT but if you need a separate VAT invoice, we can provide one for you – just ask!

Also, if you’ve purchased any gear from PMT and you reside either outside the EU, or you are leaving the EU and you’re not planning on returning for at least 12 months, you can claim back the VAT on your purchase. Speak to the sales team or the PMT crew in your local store about the VAT Retail Export Scheme.

What’s this ST number in every product?

We’ll let you in on a little secret – the ‘ST’ stands for ‘Simon’ and ‘Terry’, our directors. Isn’t that sweet? Anyway, an ST number is an individual product number that is unique to every product we have at PMT. You can quote an ST number when inquiring about a product, you can copy and paste them into our search bar, and you can often find them on our Instagram posts too - just ‘cause we’re helpful like that.

I’m looking for a particular item but you haven’t got it on your website?

If you’re looking for very specific gear, most of the time we can contact our suppliers directly and source it for you. Never be afraid to ask the PMT experts for something that isn’t on the website – they love a good challenge!

How can I pay for my gear online?

PMT accept all major debit and credit cards including Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Mastercard, and Maestro. We can also accept Amex (online only).
We also accept Paypal, cheques, and bank transfers. Alternatively, you can pay by finance.
