Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Overview

The new short-scale Gretch “Laydie Belle” Irish Tenor banjo is designed for playing traditional music. Loud and proud with a Whyte-Laydie tone ring and three-ply solid maple rim, the G9480 comes with special-gauge strings tuned G D A E (one octave below a mandolin) so mandolin and fiddle players can add banjo to their tonal palettes. With other string gauges it can also be tuned as a standard tenor (DGBE) for guitarists and ukulele players.

Other features include a three-piece maple/walnut/maple neck, 17-fret rosewood fingerboard with vintage-style B&D inlays, 19” scale, 24 tension brackets with notched hoop, 11” Remo High Crown Renaissance head, vintage-style “No Knot”-type tailpiece, 1 3/16” nut, geared die-cast machine heads, Vega-style armrest, nickel-plated hardware, and a luxurious amber maple gloss finish.
