Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Overview

Gretsch G5420LH Left-Handed Electromatic, Aspen Green

Classic Gretsch styling with versatile Black Top humbucker tone

There is a special something about Gretsch guitars that just oozes a classic country appeal, and the G5420 is another perfect example. Stripping down to the basics, Gretsch have focused this line of affordable guitars all around the dual mini humbucking tone. The "Black Top" Filter'Tron humbucking pickups have a forceful sound with exceptional punch and twang - a real Country, Blues and Jazz tone machine. A simple 2-way volume and tone control system make it easy to dial in a dynamic range of tones, with a naturally bright and sparkling presence that can be dialled down for a cool, mellow vibe.

The subtle aesthetic touches of the G5420LH include a G6120 50-style bound headstock, neo-classic thumbnail fingerboard inlays and iconic 'G-cutout' Gretsch Tailpiece - each helping to embody the vintage vibe of a classic Gretsch guitar.
