We were looking to purchase an electronic drum kit for our son. We visited PMT back in September to have a look at the range of items they had. While there an assistant came to offer help and advice on the different sets that were available. My son was also allowed to try them out too. After choosing one he liked we went away to research as it was intended for a Christmas present. On looking the item up it showed that for the same money you could get extra items. We then returned and asked if they would price match as we believe in trying to support the local business, but ultimately things do come down to price and value. To our delight they were happy to price match, and as a result we even upgraded. The service from viewing to purchasing was really good, as these musical instruments are not cheap and you need good honest advice when purchasing. Would totally recommend this company.

The 'King of the Blues' - B.B King graced us with some of the most iconic guitar tones ever produced, courtesy of his signature Gibson ES-355. Nicknamed 'Lucille', Gibson issed the first signature models in 1980, and has been refined over the course of the last 3 decades resulting in this superb 2016 model.

Based closely on his specifications, the Gibson Lucille features a semi-hollow, maple-ply body. True to King's personal preference, the 2016 Lucille does away with the 'F-Shaped' sound holes found on traditional ES-355s (he was known to stuff them to avoid unwanted feedback!).

A TP-6 fine-tune tailpiece ensures your performance will be in tune and stable. The combination of 490R and 490T humbucker pickups deliver vintage blues tone, modelled very closely on the '57 classics found on countless Gibson hollowbodys over the years. A six-position stereo Varitone circuit offers singing blues tone through rolling off selected frequencies.

The all-gold hardware looks high class against Lucille's smooth cherry finish. Multi-ply binding seductively wraps the entirety of the instrument. Even the tortoise-type pickguard is outlined in binding. And mother-of-pearl block inlays are expertly set into the sleek and jet black Richlite fingerboard.

  • B.B. King's signature guitar "Lucille"
  • 3-ply maple/poplar/maple body construction
  • Maple neck topped with a Richlite fingerboard
  • 490R/490T pickups offer and edgy take on vintage
  • 6-position stereo Varitone circuit deliver multiple tone combinations
  • TP-6 Fine Tune stop bar offers tuning stability and control
  • Gold hardware
  • Elegant "Lucille" inlay peghead veneer
