Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

This Gibson Custom Shop Limited-Edition 1959 ES-335 Dot Navelina Gold Sparkle Semi-Acoustic is a very rare and extremely collectible electric guitar: only 25 were made available WORLDWIDE, and yes - here at PMT we've got one of them, currently in stock at PMT Portsmouth!

The guitar has vintage 1959 ES-335 specs and comes in a truly stunning finish - a deep orange with gold sparkle.

The 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue accurately retains the original construction, with the solid maple center block for superb sustain and resistance to feedback, and arched laminated maple top, back, and sides for added hollowbody-like warmth. The glued-in quarter-sawn mahogany neck with long tenon has a one-piece rosewood fingerboard with a 12” radius and a width of 1 11/16” at the nut, along with classic 24 ¾” Gibson scale length. This guitar is a “Dot Neck” model that is more true to the original of 1959 in look, feel, and tone than ever before.

And this particular model is a must for any guitar collector who loves semi-acoustics, and is certainly one of the most special ES-335 models you'll find today... anywhere in the World!

Features:

  • One-piece rosewood fingerboard
  • Kluson Deluxe machine heads
  • Hot Hide Glue Neck Fit
  • Custom Buckers
  • Historic Truss Rod Assembly (no tubing)
  • Accurate body and fingerboard binding color
