Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Overview

Epiphone have become masters in their own right when it comes to re-issuing vintage guitars. The 1964 Texan is an electro acoustic with the stripped back design of the original, upgraded with new hardware and components for the modern guitarist. Retaining the iconic 'Advanced Jumbo' body shape and '60s SlimTaper neck, the 'Inspired By Texan' looks, feels and plays like it would have nearly 5 decades ago. Perfect for solo performers and singer songwriters, this electro acoustic is stage ready with a Shadow Sonic preamp system, ready to rock.

The original 1964 Texan Acoustic, authentically re-issued for the modern guitarist. A superb all-rounder with versatile tone, at a very reasonable price.

The active amplification system installed in the Texan is designed to be as low-key as possible. With the output jack fitted into the end pin, and a super-quiet preamp with phase switch, you can carry the beautiful acoustic tone into a live setting with no worries.

Since it's introduction in 1958, the Epiphone Texan has been the choice of countless musicians including Paul McCartney, Peter Frampton and Noel Gallagher. In fact, McCartney wrote and recorded "Yesterday," one of the most recorded and popular songs ever, on his 1964 Texan and still uses it on stage today.
