Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Overview

The Casino Coupe has proven itself to be an extremely versatile guitar, thanks to a combination of a smaller semi-hollow body and dogear P-90 pickups. Fans of Keith Richards, Gary Clark Jr and The Beatles will appreciate the light, airy jangle that a hollowbody offers, with the P-90 potential allowing you to really open up and get a more grungy, rock tone instantly. The maple body construction offers a bright, snappy tone well suited for a wide range of musical styles, balanced out with the mahogany neck that warms things up and is super comfortable to play.

The Coupe is a streamlined, slimmed down hollowbody based on the original Epiphone Casino. A classic, reborn!

A pair of single-coil P-90 pickups are the engine that drives the power of the Casino. With a full rounded tone, the P-90 is the “all purpose” pickup, capable of sharp lead tones, clean rhythm punch, and gritty, easily controllable feedback. And combined with the pure hollowbody of the Coupe, a guitarist can achieve almost acoustic tones at low volume.

The archtop’s all Nickel hardware includes the LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and a Coupe-sized Trapeze tailpiece. The vintage “Epiphone” logo is in pearloid and the Kalamazoo-era “bullet” truss rod cover, also a feature of 60s Casinos, has the Epi “E” logo in white silkprint.
