Excellent Birmingham store service - Dave A****
I was greeted by a chap called Dave and i explained i was interested in buying another guitar, a Fender Stratocaster to be precise. I explained i wanted to try a few options and in particular i was attracted to flashy looking guitars. I selected several to play and Dave took me to a practice room where i spent a couple of hours playing different guitars. His knowledge was excellent and he was very patient. Dave listened to what i wanted as a musician and provided the right equipment when i needed it followed by advice on the differences between each one. I settled on a very good guitar and a couple of pedals. If you are going to buy from PMT, GO TO THE BIRMINGHAM STORE.

Crying Bass Wah and Fuzz Pedal for Bass Guitar

Funky Wah Pedal Sounds

The Crying Bass Pedal from Electro-Harmonix features a unique design that goes without the usual potentiometer you’d expect to find in an expression pedal.

Instead, you just lay the Crying Bass pedal on the floor and due to its curved bottom, you use it’s natural rocking motion to apply the wah effect.

This means it has no moving parts means it is a nice, slick piece of gear without components that will eventually wear out or break – an issue you sometimes find in more conventional wah pedals.

The tough metal chassis ensures that you have a robust pedal that will stand the tests of time and the rigours of the road.

The Crying Bass wah pedal is extremely responsive too, so you have all sorts of options on the wah effect. From deep, sweeping wah to super-tight, fast dips – the Crying Bass will pick up every detail of your foot movement.

Bass Fuzz and Low Pass Filter

Built into the side of the Crying Bass are two dials, one to control the low pass filter and another to adjust the level of fuzz.

Specially tuned for bass, the fuzz options on the Crying Bass lend an incredible growl to your performance. Using its associated dial, you can go through subtle harmonics on top of your playing all the way to a full dirty fuzz and everything in between.

The low pass filter found next to the fuzz dial can be adjusted at your will and is a great way to ensure that your powerful, low end presence isn’t lost in the sound.

The two features in tandem to offer a lovely crunch while maintaining the powerful punch of your bass playing.

Musical Options

The Crying Bass pedal works great for playing funk and jazz styles but thanks to its sensitive expression and brilliant fuzz you will find it works great for dubsteb and heavier styles of music.

A solid bit of gear with no moving, breakable parts – it is built to last and the sound is of the highest quality, as you would expect from Electro-Harmonix pedals.
