A DEEP HISTORY

Samson Technologies began in 1980 designing wireless microphone systems. Today, they are an industry leader in Bass Amplifier design and sound with the Hartke brand leading the way. Hartke revolutionized the world of bass amplification in 1985 with the creation of a unique aluminum cone driver that produced a bass tone with far broader dynamics than had ever been heard before. Bass Legend Jaco Pistorious loved the tone so much that he toured and recorded with Hartke products after 1984.

By 1985, the word had spread about the new quicker, clearer bass sound of Jaco’s 810 and Hartke began mass production of its first aluminum cone bass cabinet, a 4 x 10” module dubbed the 410XL. Eventually, Hartke developed an entire line of XL cabinets, including the 115XL, 210XL, 410XL, 4.5XL and 810XL, which have been played on stages around the world by players like Jaco, Marcus Miller, Darryl Jones, Jack Bruce, Will Lee and Garry Tallent.

HYDRIVE

Their revolutionary HyDrive Technology is on the cutting edge of amplifier design and performance. With Hartke's HyDrive series, you get the best of both worlds: the warm tone of traditional paper cones and the clear, punchy attack of aluminum. HyDrive's patented Hybrid Cone Technology produces a speaker that uses an outside paper cone to push a warm, deep low frequency and an inner aluminum cone that produces mids and highs that cut, yet still remain sweet.
