This March, Sound On Sound magazine and PMT bring you an evening dedicated to production techniques at PMT Cardiff.
Paul White and Hugh Robjohns from Sound On Sound, the world's best music recording magazine, are coming to PMT Cardiff for an evening of discussions and Q&A on production techniques, including important topics such as acoustics, mic placement, tracking and mixing issues. If you live around the area and have an interest in recording, don't miss out on this great opportunity to learn a bit more from two experts!
The event takes place from 6:30pm on Tuesday 22nd March, and tickets can be purchased in-store for just £4 (£3 for students). Booking in advance is recommended, as space will be limited.
About Paul White:
Originally trained as electronics engineer, pursuing guitar playing and multitrack recording as a hobby, Paul White moved into music magazines in 1984 working as editor for Home And Studio Recording until 1991, and then with various Sound On Sound titles and projects to the present day, where he is now Editor In Chief.
Along the way, Paul has written over 20 textbooks on the subject of music recording - so you can be sure he'll have plenty of precious info to share at our event!
Paul White continues to operate his own small recording studio, where he's recorded such notables as Bert Jansch and Gordon Giltrap, as well as using the studio as a test bed for product reviews. He also still performs live, saying: "I've suffered for my music, now I make sure everybody else does, too!"
