Are you looking for a new acoustic guitar to take on holiday this summer? The Washburn Comfort Mini Series guitars are your perfect choice: 3/4-sized travel guitars with top specs, stunning looks and great sound!
Since Ed Sheeran became the hottest name in music, there's been a resurgence of smaller, 3/4-sized guitars as used by the singer-songwriter. Maybe the world's favourite ginger troubadour has something to do with it, or maybe it's just a coincidence - maybe it's just the right type of acoustic guitar for our times, when convenience in size and portability are big selling points (as also seen in the popularity of nano pedals and mini synths.)
These three 3/4 size guitars sound much larger and far more musical than their smaller size would lead you to believe. Crafted with premium materials, all three make excellent recording or travel guitars.
The Washburn WCDM15SK, WCDM25SK and WCDM55K are 3/4 size, satin finished, dreadnought-style acoustic guitars featuring lauded Washburn Comfort Series appointments including a forearm rest, consisting of a bevelled strip of rosewood at the lower bout which becomes part of the rosewood top binding.
They also feature a very unique cutaway style:
A partial “Comfort” cutaway on the bottom of the upper bout allows superior access to the higher frets.
The mahogany neck has a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays which ties in nicely with the rosewood bridge. The rosewood capped headstock features a maple inlaid Washburn logo and stylised 'W' as well as gold tuners with ebonite buttons. The gorgeous rosette is made of alternating maple and mahogany.
The Washburn WCDM15SK features Mahogany back and sides with a solid Spruce top, the WCDM25SK features Rosewood back and sides with a solid Spruce top, and the WCDM55K features striking Koa top, back and sides.
