PMT Manchester is a 12,000 square foot music shop in Manchester that’s packed with guitars, guitar tech, drums, keyboards, PA equipment, keyboards and all the musical equipment, instruments and top brands you can dream of!
PMT Manchester music shop has two particularly amazing features: Roland Planet and Yamaha Pulse, which houses in-store experts who can give you professional and in-depth advice on everything from what music production software is best for you to what guitar pedal you’d need to sound like Jimi Hendrix. No wonder the likes of Ian Brown, Doves, Billy Sheehan, White Snake, Guy Pratt, Mike Harding, White Lies, The Courteeners and Trivium go to PMT Manchester for their musical needs!
Manchester’s music scene has seen the turn of 70’s rock ‘n’ roll, borne the definitive band of the 80’s (whose famous album sleeve photo from The Queen is Dead was taken outside Salford Lads’ club - a 6 minute walk from PMT Manchester!), has partied hard with Madchester and claims right to the most successful Britpop band ever, Oasis; so it’s not hard to see why PMT Manchester is all about the music and holds loads of in-store music events! Events from 2014 include the Gibson Experience with Ryan Roxie, Taylor Guitar Days and an intimate acoustic performance from Blackberry Smoke.
Plus, PMT supports Manchester’s local music scene. With so many venues to gig at in Manchester, the music store has created a café area where not only you can take a break from being overwhelmed by all the amazing gear, but where local bands from Manchester, Salford and pretty much anywhere in the Greater Manchester region can post their requests for musicians and advertise their gigs! So if you’re playing in Night & Day, Ruby Longue, Band on the Wall, The Kings Arms, Deaf Institute, Islington Mill or even the Warehouse Project, you can let everyone in Manchester know!
