Music’s Live 2013 is set to be one of the largest in-store trade shows and starts THIS WEEKEND (9th-10th November).
PMT Birmingham, the host of Music’s Live will be running during our usual weekend store opening times 9:30AM – 6:00PM Saturday and 11:00AM – 5:00PM. We’re happy to announce that we have all major music suppliers and on both days you will be able to participate in demonstrations, workshops with plenty of in store deals, exclusive to the show. If you read our previous blog on Music’s Live 2013, you will be already aware of some of the amazing offers and brands we have in attendance. Here is what you can also expect during the trade show weekend:
Roland & Boss: The GR55 is always a showstopper at music’s live. It’s guitar-synth capabilities means it can simulate a wealth of instruments from synths, pianos, orchestral instruments and more. See James from Roland demo this powerful pedal amongst their classic stompboxes with help from our very own Roland Gurus.
Gibson: Selected Les Paul Signature Ts have been significantly reduced to £1199. Get in on this fantastic bargain with plenty of other deals too low to show at this year’s event. See Ray from Gibson for how you can make the use of Min-E Tune technology, keeping your guitar pitch perfect.
Martin Guitars: Steve Preston, Martin’s dedicated acoustic guitar expert will be talking about their current and forthcoming models available. If you’re a fan of Eric Clapton, Ed Sheeran or John Mayer this weekend will also be a perfect opportunity to see their range of signature guitar models.
Dr Green Pedals: Dr Green’s bass pedals have been one of our star products of 2013. Oozing that boutique style we guitarists love, under a theme of a mad scientist these fx pedals are definitely worth hearing this weekend. See Lee from Ashdown, for some fx experimentation and Hayden clearance deals too.
Bose: See Andy Ridler from Bose to see exactly why they’re one of the most innovative manufacturers as far as portable PA solutions are concerned. The new B2 dual subwoofer will be on demo combined with their tried and tested L1 and L1s portable yet powerful PA systems. Dave Thompson will also be performing throughout the day on the pa package that boasts a 6 minute setup time.
Blackstar: See Steve Marks at Music’s Live for a low down on everything blackstar. Not only will he be demonstrating the full capabilities of their amplifiers – their newly released LT range incorporate their tried and tested ISF technology into a compact and affordable stompbox. Go from classic british sounds to up-front USA distortions in seconds.
Orange: To celebrate the launch of PMT Birmingham’s newly refurbished orange demo both James Orange’s product expert will be giving away Orange Merchandise and cranking up the latest crush amplifiers.
Alesis: Set to be THE product of Christmas the Alesis DM Lite is a price-boundary-smashing led illuminated bargain! Our full review of the kit can be found here, and we’re sure you’ll be tempted to see it at the show. Also recently installed at the house of drums is the DM7X.
Jim Dunlop & MXR: On top of our brand new Nord Supercentre and Orange demo booth this month has also see the installation of a brand new Jim Dunlop and MXR wall complete with the latest Wahs, Distortions, Phasers, Filters and more. It’s also worth noting that we’re one of few MXR Custom Shop dealers in the UK – for the full range look no further.
Korg: If you missed out on the Korg Analogue Tour, there’s a second chance to see some of the latest synths sticking to their true analogue routes whilst incorporating the latest technology for the modern producer and performer. See the monotron, MS-20 and a first look at the Volca range (Beats, Bass and Keys). We also have experts on hand for in-depth Kronos workstation demos.
Yamaha: Yamaha’s best stage pianos to date – the CP4 and CP40 will be on demo at music’s live. These incredible keyboards will be the first in the UK – one of many exclusives to Music’s Live!
